May I introduce myself. My name is Stuart Bennett and I am originally from Worksop in Nottinghamshire

I am the House Manager of Challoner Court, a retirement home in Bromley owned by Osprey. For the last 24 years, this magical place has been both my home and place of work as I manage the day-to-day operations of the facility. There have been many improvements over the years with more to come, such as the interior designer led refurbishment of the communal areas this year. My job is to make sure that everything operates as smoothly as possible and to communicate with residents, who see me every day either when I am in my office or walking around the communal areas. I help them if they have concerns about anything or need advice.

The communal lounge is a great meeting place where I serve refreshments daily in the mornings and afternoons for residents to enjoy. I also arrange for exercise classes and other communal activities take place there, such as supper parties. Challoner Court is a great place to live with a community spirit that you can really feel when you are here. It has wonderful gardens to relax in or for exercise and there is ample car parking within the grounds. There also very good transport links with bus stops outside the building and the nearby Shortlands national railways station, where you can get a train that will take you to Central London in less than 30 minutes.

I am lucky to have wonderful neighbours, the residents of Challoner Court, who like to organise evening events and social activities for anyone to take part in if they wish, which promotes the friendly atmosphere here at Challoner Court.
