Hilary Barrett Estate Manager at Town Mill, Marlborough, Wiltshire

For over 20 years, it has been my pleasure to work with young at heart retired residents but never in such a fulfilling position and idyllic setting as the one I currently hold at the Town Mill Retirement Estate. This delightful community of 30 Cottages has provided me with the opportunity to learn daily and develop meaningful relationships to impact on the lives of our residents, ensuring their well-being and happiness.

Over the years, one aspect of my role that I have particularly cherished is the chance to address the specific needs and concerns of our residents. Whether it is coordinating healthcare services, answering calls, or implementing new projects, I am dedicated to continuously improving the retirement experience for everyone at Town Mill.

It is important to mention the valued support of the management team at K&C (Osprey) Ltd. Without their hard work, knowledge, and expertise in the background, a lot of good things we have so far achieved would never have been possible. Their positive outlook and receptiveness have encouraged me to continue working with an open heart and imagination.

My belief is that a successful retirement estate is built on trust, strong communication and a genuine commitment to the well-being of its residents. These values guide my approach as manager of the Town Mill Retirement Estate.

I am grateful to all for the opportunity to serve this incredible community in this beautiful and unique river island setting. I’m looking forward to many more years of helping to make a positive difference to the lives of our residents, and working alongside the rest of the greater team at Town Mill and K&C (Osprey) Ltd.
